It’s about a 35-minute scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the most thrilling mountain airstrips in the world. During the flight, you can enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan range. After landing and having breakfast in Lukla, we organize our gear and begin the trek. The trail gradually descends toward Thadokoshi, passing through beautiful pine forests and small Sherpa settlements. Along the way, you’ll enjoy impressive views of Kusum Kanguru rising dramatically above the valley. We then continue walking alongside the rushing waters of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges and passing mani stones and prayer wheels before reaching the peaceful village of Phakding. Overnight stay at Phakding.
After breakfast, we begin our trek, gradually making our way toward Banker while enjoying beautiful views of Thamserku rising majestically above the valley. Today, we officially enter Sagarmatha National Park, the protected region that is home to the Everest Himalayas. Crossing several thrilling suspension bridges along the Dudh Koshi River, we continue our steady climb through pine forests and charming Sherpa villages. As we ascend higher, we are rewarded with our first glimpse of Mount Everest. If luck is on our side, we might even spot a rare red panda along the trail. By late afternoon, we reach Namche Bazaar, the vibrant gateway to Everest, where we stay overnight.
Namche Bazaar is the gateway to Everest and the largest village in the Khumbu region, serving as the main trading and cultural hub for trekkers and locals alike. To help with acclimatization, we hike up to Everest View Hotel, one of the world’s highest-placed hotels, where we are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and many other surrounding peaks. After descending back to Namche, you can explore the Sagarmatha National Park headquarters, visit the Sherpa Museum to learn about local culture and mountaineering history, or stroll through the lively market. Cozy cafés along the streets often screen documentaries about Everest and Sherpa life. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
After breakfast, trek begins with an almost flat walk of about two hours, offering spectacular panoramic views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and many other majestic mountains. After this scenic stretch, we begin the ascent to Mongla, where you can enjoy stunning views of Thamserku and Kantega. From Mongla, the trail descends to Phortse Tanga, passing through beautiful rhododendron forests. We then continue climbing gently alongside the Dudh Kosi River until reaching Dole, a peaceful high-altitude village. Overnight stay at Dole.
After breakfast, we begin our climb for the day. Along the way, you’ll enjoy magnificent views of Cho Oyu, the world’s sixth-highest mountain at 8,201 m. The trail follows a narrow, sandy path beside the Dudh Kosi River, passing through the quaint village of Luza. It’s important to maintain a steady pace—neither too fast nor too slow—as we continue the ascent toward Machhermo, a high-altitude village surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Upon arrival, we can visit the local health post, where a lecture on altitude sickness is offered to help trekkers stay safe at high elevations. Overnight stay at Machhermo.
After breakfast, we trek toward Gokyo. After an initial ascent, the trail narrows as we navigate a rocky section and cross the Dudh Kosi River just before reaching the massive Ngozumpa Glacier. The route continues past Longpongo and Raboche Tsho before arriving at Gokyo, home to the stunning turquoise lake Dudh Pokhari. Once at the village, you are free to explore the lake, which lies just beside your teahouse. Overnight stay at Gokyo.

Overnight stay at Thagnak.
Today we start early in the morning for a challenging trek. The first few hours involve a steady ascent, followed by a steep and rocky climb leading up to Chola Pass. From the pass, we are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, and many other towering Himalayan peaks. After a short break at the summit, we descend along glacier and rocky trails, gradually making our way down. Along the route, enjoy the serene beauty of Chola Lake and the surrounding Pheriche Valley. By late afternoon, we reach Dzongla, a peaceful high-altitude village, where we stay overnight.
Today is a relatively short and easy day compared to the previous days. We trek past Chola Lake and walk alongside the Khumbu Glacier, the highest glacier in the world, taking in the stunning views of Pumori, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. The trail gradually leads us toward Lobuche, a small settlement nestled at the base of towering peaks. Overnight stay at Lobuche.
Today is one of the most important and exciting days of the Everest Base Camp Trek. We begin our journey toward Gorak Shep, following the rugged trail alongside the Khumbu Glacier. Walking at an altitude above 5,000 meters can be physically demanding, so we move slowly and steadily while enjoying the dramatic Himalayan landscape. From Gorak Shep, we continue to Everest Base Camp, the ultimate destination of the trek. From the base camp, you can see the upper slopes of Mount Everest, the spectacular Khumbu Icefall, and many surrounding peaks and glaciers. Standing at the foot of the world’s highest mountain is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After spending some time exploring and taking photos at base camp, we retrace our steps back to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.
We start the day very early in the morning for a hike to Kala Patthar, the most famous viewpoint in the Everest region. The climb takes a couple of hours, but reaching the top is truly rewarding. From the summit, you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise and panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Taboche, and the vast Khumbu Glacier glowing in the morning light. After spending some time soaking in the spectacular scenery and taking photos, we descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast. Later, we begin a long but pleasant downhill trek through the valley, retracing our steps toward Pangboche. Overnight at Pangboche.
After breakfast, we begin our descent toward the river and cross a suspension bridge before walking through peaceful alpine forests to Debuche. From here, we steadily climb uphill to Tengboche, where we visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, also known as Dawa Choling Gompa, the largest and most important monastery in the Everest region. The monastery offers a wonderful opportunity to experience Sherpa culture and Buddhist traditions while enjoying stunning mountain views. After our visit, the trail descends in a zigzag path through rhododendron and pine forests to Phunki Tenga. We then begin a gradual ascent to Kyangjuma before finally returning to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Today marks the final day of our trekking adventure. The trail descends steeply through forests and small settlements until we reach the Dudh Koshi River. After crossing several suspension bridges, we officially exit Sagarmatha National Park, leaving the high Himalayan wilderness behind. Continuing downhill, we pass through Thado Koshi, one of the lowest points of the Everest Base Camp trek. From here, we begin the final ascent toward Lukla, retracing familiar trails and reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve completed. Upon arrival in Lukla, we celebrate the successful end of our trek and enjoy a well-deserved rest. Overnight at Lukla.
After breakfast, we take an early flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying one last glimpse of the Himalayas from the air. Upon arrival, our representative will transfer you to your hotel. After a refreshing shower and some rest, you can explore Thamel, a lively area filled with shops, cafés, and souvenir stores—perfect for some last-minute shopping. In the evening, we gather for a special farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant, where you’ll enjoy authentic cuisine along with cultural dance performances to celebrate the successful completion of your adventure.
