We started in Kathmandu, completed the permits, and drove to Machha Khola before following the beautiful Buri Gandaki River through Jagat, Philim, and Lokpa. The suspension bridges, forests, traditional villages, and dramatic mountain scenery were incredible. Our guide, Ganesh, was friendly, experienced, and always supportive throughout the trek. Reaching Chumling and entering the sacred Tsum Valley was the highlight of the journey. Visiting Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa and seeing the stunning Ganesh Himal and Shringi Himal made the experience even more special. The peaceful Tibetan-influenced culture and warm Tsumpa people touched my heart.

My Makalu Base Camp Trek with GNT was an incredible adventure and one of the most rewarding trekking experiences I have ever had. From the flight to Tumlingtar and the trek through Chichila, Num, Seduwa, and Tashigaon, every day brought new landscapes and challenges. Our guide, Pasang, was excellent throughout the journey. He was experienced, friendly, patient, and always made sure we were comfortable and safe. The climb toward Khongma Danda, Mumbuk, Yangle Kharka, Merek, and Shersong was challenging but absolutely beautiful. The acclimatization day at Khongma Danda was very helpful before continuing to higher elevations. Reaching Makalu Base Camp and seeing the spectacular Himalayan scenery was the highlight of the trek. Staying at the Marriott Hotel in Kathmandu was also a great experience, with comfortable rooms and excellent service. During the trek, the accommodation and overall arrangements offered good value for money while still providing extra comfort.
